Milly Shaw is a digital marketing consultant who helps businesses acquire and retain more customers. Her specialities are content creation, social media, SEO, and improving website conversion. In this session, Milly will tackle the golden ticket of ‘going viral’, unpicking what this means and considering the powers in play when campaigns take the world by storm.

She will explain how to set a strategy and structure behind your content and social media marketing, how to develop story ideas with potential for growth, and how to publish and promote content for maximum exposure. Women Taking a Byte at Business: How to Create Your Own Website for Free (or Cheaply)

Thomas Jackson is a regional photographer whose music and gig work is published globally in some of the world’s biggest media outlets he also manages all his own websites and social media activity. In this session, Thomas will discuss the thinking and planning process to follow before starting to build a website, as well as some of the tools available to design and build your own.

For creative businesses, it’s also important to consider how best to present your work, soThomas will give some practical hints on effective product photography.

By the end of the session you should have a clear understanding of what content and structure your website should have, which tools may be best to design and build it, and an understanding of which bits to do yourself and where it may be better to pay the experts.

Ellen Brown has moved from marketing for an investor backed technology start up, to the world of HR, and so has assumed responsibility for all things digital including the company’s webinar strategy.

In this session, Ellen will walk you through a number of free and paid for tools that can be used to deliver webinars, and will take you through how to set up and run webinars as both an effective marketing tactic and as a chargeable service. By the end of the session you will understand which tool would work best for you and your business, and should feel confident and able to deliver your first webinar.
