Byte Your Business - Digital Know-how for Women

We all like a shortcut or tools and techniques that make our work a bit easier and more rewarding, and digital technology fits the bill in lots of ways.

Useful as digital platforms and applications are though, the sheer number of options can be a bit overwhelming and sometimes it’s not enough to know what’s out there, it’s about having the practical know-how to make use of it.

So we’re delighted to announce that we’re working with Digital Durham and Business Durham to help women develop the digital know-how that will give new businesses a flying start and established businesses a chance to grow.

We're running workshop sessions to introduce the programme - click on the title for full details and booking info.

When: 30 September 2015 / 10:00 AM - 1:00 PM

Where:The Witham, 3 Horsemarket, Barnard Castle, DL12 8LY

Keeping it Legal

For our first Creative Exchange of the autumn we have teamed up with NE Law, who are based in Moor Chambers here in Durham.

Partners Janet Potts and Michelle Coulson will be giving an informal but informative talk on what you need to have from a legal perspective when running a business, and  are offering you the chance to talk to them one to one and to run through a free legal audit.

NE LAW pride themselves on being a friendly, approachable and local business, and who, as a relatively new business themselves, have also had to get to grips with running a business, employing staff, making sure they are compliant.....and have learned a few lessons they would like to share along the way from dealing with all sorts of business related matters for their clients - from checking leases, to helping you develop terms and conditions for your website or online shop to partnership agreements and employment law..they have it all covered

The event is taking place on 28 Septmber 2015 from 5 til 7.30 in The e-volve Centre just off the A690 on the outskirts of Durham.

When: 28 September 2015 / 5:00 PM - 7:30 PM

Where:e-volve Centre, Cygnet Way, Rainton Bridge
