Women Into Business

If women started businesses at the same rate as men there’d be a million more businesses in the UK. There are lots of reasons to start a business: fulfil a dream, top-up your income, exploit your skills or simply recharge yourself with a new challenge.

You can start a business on any scale, work flexibly around domestic demands and don’t have to give up the day job if you choose not to.

We’ll draw inspiration from female entrepreneurs who have built successful businesses and we’ll explore your own potential to be enterprising.

Need an idea? We’ll show you how to spot opportunities

Got an idea? We’ll help you to test it and shape it up

Short of contacts? We’ll steer you to the right people in our network of buyers, funders, mentors and trade specialists who all welcome people with fresh ideas

Whether you’re simply intrigued or are raring to go, this session might just make the difference between making something happen and forever wondering ‘what if…’

It’s fun, it’s free! So allow yourself a moment to dream, pop the date in your diary and let us know you’re coming along.

Creative Exchange

The idea behind our Creative Exchange sessions is that you can come along and raise any matters you wish so that we can bring our collective knowledge and inspiration to bear on developing your ideas and helping you move forward.

The emphasis is on informality, sharing our issues and letting the conversation take on a life of its own so bring along your problems, your prototypes and your plans and we'll try to send you on your way enthused and informed.

Jane, Meryl and Dave will be on hand and people who've attended similar sessions have told us they have benefitted greatly from the opportunity to tap into the collective wisdom of the groups.

When: 22 June 2015 / 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM

Business Start-up Workshop for Women Students

What’s next after your degree?

Fulfil a dream. Make an impact. Take control. Start a business!

In a world where the landscape of work is constantly changing and ‘portfolio careers’ become a normal way of life, one way to ensure that you maintain control over your own destiny is to start your own business.

Registering a new business is a simple and cheap task these days but women are still missing out big time on the chance to fulfil a dream and make an impact: if women started businesses at the same rate as men there’d be a million more businesses in the UK - and that’s despite the fact that women still have to fight for equal value in the workplace and so have good reason to take their careers into their own hands.

At some point in our lives most of us have thought, ‘I could do that’. And most of us were right, so why not join us for an exploration of the possibilities?

Whether you’re simply intrigued or are raring to go, this session might just make the difference between making something happen and forever wondering ‘what if…’

It’s fun, it’s free! So allow yourself a moment to dream, pop the date in your diary and let us know you’re coming along. Click here to book your place  https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/business-start-up-workshop-for-women-tickets-17144092442
